FACILITIES

Slit Lamp Biomicroscope is used for visualisation of the anterior segment and with a 90D lens can be used for visualisation the posterior pole

Steam pressure Autoclave which is used for the sterilization of equipment and linen used during a surgery.

Carl Zeiss Phacoemulsification system which can remove a cataract with microphaco technology through an incision (cut ) which is only 2 mm.It is among the most advanced cataract removal system and gives excellent results and vision following cataract operations.

Operation Theatre

Its a Carl Zeiss operating microscope. It is used for eye related microscopic surgeries such  as cataract ,glaucoma, pterygium ,squint ,foreign body removal , corneal tear repairs.

the slit lamp along witha 90D or a 78 D convex lens can be used for visualization of the optic nerve head ,macula for the diagnosis and treatment of optic nerve problems and certain macular pathologies.

Lenstar is a product of Haag Streit technologies. It is an optical biometer which measures the Corneal curvature, corneal thickness (pachymetry),axial length, anterior chamber depth, pupil diameter, white to white, pupil barycentre, angle kappa. It also has all the latest scientific formulae used in the determination of the IOL(intraocular lens )power calculation. The intraocular lens is implantated in the eye following cataract removal.Hence it is of great use in implantation of monofocal, bifocal ,toric, toric multifocal and trifocal lens.it is among the most accurate optical biometers available today.

this is an autorefractometer with auto keratometer. It is the machine used to find the refractive power ie spectacle number of the patient. It also tells us an automated Keratometry ie corneal curvature of the eye. This aids in calculation of the lens power, gives an idea of the patients cylindrical status and thus helps us to determine which is likely to be the best suited lens for the patient from the optical standpoint. It is also useful for finding the details of the contact lens that has to be fitted for the patient.
